Pro Help Australia is expanding to the Ipswich and Gold Coast and in preparation we are seeking staff in these regions!
Our company is a 24 hour on call family support and in-home assistance network, focused on improving the work life balance of families. We assist with the difficult juggle of life – the balancing act of children, parenting, relationships, work and unexpected emergencies. Traditional support networks with families, friends and grandparents are harder than ever to establish, maintain and support. So that’s where Pro Help Australia can help! We are all about families, and the support we can bring to them, but we treat our carer staff as our family too. We believe our staff should be supported, valued and rewarded for their good work ethics.

Job Description for Family Support Carers:  To provide Family Support, by aiding parents or caregivers with on call care for their children or other family members, who may be ill or otherwise needing assistance. You will be working in family homes on an emergency as needed basis, as a rotational rostered casual. By our staff being at home with the person needing care, the parent or caregiver is able to attend work or other commitments, and alleviate the stress of an interrupted work schedule. Our carer staff also provide support by helping with basic housework, and possibly transport.

We also need for some families, to provide assistance on a semi-regular pre-arranged basis. These would be scheduled shifts, usually required for before or after school hours.

You must have a keen desire to work with families, and exceptional support skills, including patience, enthusiasm, good communication and a friendly disposition. If you have relevant qualifications and/or experience in the child care industry, or related fields such as aged care, respite, disability care, teaching or nursing, then we would like to hear from you via our Expression of Interest form.

This position could also suit those looking for secondary employment, students in their final year of relevant studies, or those with previous experience looking to get back into the workplace after a break.

Qualifications & Clearances:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the child care industry, or related fields such as aged care, disability care, teaching or nursing.
  • Current working with children clearance – ‘Blue Card’
  • First Aid Certification
  • Current Drivers Licence and roadworthy vehicle (for those Carers able to do transportation duties)
  • Have a smartphone and be proficient with its use to send and receive job assignment and reporting procedures

HOURS: Casual on call

LOCATION: varying locations within 25km radius of your home base (Ipswich or Gold Coast)
