Supported Living Houses
Central to the enjoyment of everyday life is providing a personal touch to ensure that your house always feels like home; where you are safe, secure, free from judgement, well cared for and happy!
We are careful to provide and facilitate a sense of independence and ownership in your room, living spaces and choices you make at home. Pro Help Australia encourages the creation of an environment that is comfortable, friendly and fun.
It’s also about making sure you achieve what you want to achieve in your life, over the long and short term and we enjoy facilitating this process.
However, it’s not about doing everything for you, but to assist and empower you to ensure you are living as dependently as you can. Our team of qualified in house support workers are there to provide assistance and coaching when necessary to help you grow and develop the skills you need to develop to further your independence.
This person-centred support is central to achieving outcomes for them that are fun, enjoyable and stress free both inside and outside the home.
When we are assisting to manage your accommodation, it is most important that great care is taken when matching housemates for long term living arrangements.
We all know what it is like to live in a house where there is a level of ongoing conflict, long term disputes or difference of opinion which can be quite unpleasant. This is often made worse when someone might not have the mental tools to process, manage and resolve the situation. And it can be a constant source of angst distress and unhappiness.
So we take great care in matching house mates with similar personalities and interests. We find people whose personalities and values match your own.
Dietary support and nutrition is critical to your health and wellbeing. Many people on the NDIS have specific dietary requirements that need to be managed on an ongoing basis.
Unfortunately, the eating plan or diet is only as robust as the staff’s ability and commitment to implementation.
Diet and nutrition can be a challenge to manage, particularly when you may not feel it is important or you have cravings for… not so great food – you’re human and it happens to the best of us!
Your Pro help Support Workers understand the importance of managing your dietary plans for long-term health and wellbeing, and are committed to following through with your dietary needs.
This is particularly important as many people living with disabilities may be less mobile or physically active which can impact on their weight management, medication effectiveness, sleep, mood, gut health, energy levels and strength.
You are what you eat, so lets have fun with it and enjoy every meal to ensure you get the most out of every mouthful!
